Our Beliefs Guide + Inspire Our Mission!
Our Mission
The WOW Ministry Mission Statement is really so simple:
To Lead People To Become Fully Devoted Followers Of Jesus Christ.
THE God
There is one true God (Isaiah 46:9) who is manifested in three distinct, but coequal persons (the Holy Trinity): Father (God), Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). God is the creator of everything, both seen and unseen (Genesis 1:1, Colossians 1:16, Revelation 4:11).
Jesus Christ
Jesus lived a sinless life on earth, died for all people's sins, defeated death and ascended to heaven. He sits at the right hand of the Father and now holds the sole role of Savior of the world (John 14:6, Acts 4:11-12). In the future, He will come again with His angels to act as Judge of both the living and dead (Revelation 1:7).
The Holy Spirit
Every person who is born again through their faith in the sinless life, atoning death on the cross, the resurrection and accension of Jesus Christ for their sins becomes indwelled by the very Spirit of God (John 14:15-17). This actual Spiritual presence in the new believer will change their heart and enable them to live a new and radically different spiritual life (John 14:26, Acts 1:8).
The Bible
The Bible is the sole, inspired word of God - not the creation of human beings. Its truth, instruction, and message of hope is the same yesterday, today, and forever. It is the one and only, perfect source of guidance for all things relating to the life of the church, the believer, and all of creation. We believe that there are no errors, no accidents, no coincidences, in the Holy Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Proverbs 30:5).
Sin
Sin separates man from God (Isaiah 59:2). Sin entered the world through the disobedience of Adam and Eve. After Adam and Eve, every member of the human race was/is born with a sinful nature and has committed or will commit sins (Romans 5:12, 1 Corinthians 15:21-22). Any person who remains spiritually separated from God at the time of their physical death, will also die a spiritual death and remain separated from Him for eternity (Matthew 25:46). There is no sin that is greater than the power of the blood of Christ. This blood is powerful enough to bring forgiveness and cleansing for every repented sin that is washed in the blood of Jesus (John 1:7).
We ARE NOT HERE TO JUDGE. One person's sin is no better or worse than the next person's sin. We invite everyone to be a part of what we're doing and to grow closer to Jesus.
The only sin that cannot be forgiven according to scripture is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:32).
Salvation
God loves each of us. He left heaven and came to Earth to became flesh. He came to provide Himself as a substitution for our sentence of death. This was accomplished through His sinless life, His sacrificial death on the cross, His resurrection and His accension to heaven (1 John 4:9-10). An individual’s salvation can only occur through faith in the sinless life, the sacrificial death on the cross, the resurrection and the accension to heaven of Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Salvation is a gift from God, and as such, must be received, accepted. It cannot be earned nor will any human ever deserve it (Ephesians 2:8-9). For a person to be a saved believer, they must be born again (John 3:3). As a born again believer, we testify to the death of our old sinful nature and of our becoming a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Eternity
Every human will exist forever. The question is where. Heaven and hell are both real places. If physical death occurs while still separated from God, your eternity will be spent in hell. If death occurs after accepting Jesus as your personal Savior, eternity will be spent in heaven (John 3:16, Romans 6:23)
The Church
The church is neither a building nor an organization. The church is the body of Christ, made up of His people, who strive to become the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-16, Colossians 1:18).
Baptisim
We believe in believer’s baptism. Baptism is the outward testimony of a repentant heart that has responded to the call of the Holy Spirit to be saved. It is the testimony that a person has joined with Christ in his death and resurrection to cleanse us from our sins. Salvation is by faith alone in the sinless life, atoning sacrifice on the cross, resurrection and accension of Jesus Christ. While baptism is not what saves us, it is required as our first act of obedience in salvation (Colossians 2:12, Romans 6:3-4).
Life
Every life is sacred and precious to God. This life begins at conception and must be provided every honor and protection (Exodus 20:13, Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 127:3). Regardless of the circumstances surrounding a pregnancy, God should be the only one who decides life or death.
Marraige
We believe in the sanctity of marriage. By marriage we believe that there is only one union that meets the biblical definition. This union is between a man and a woman (Mark 10:6-9). That said, we ARE NOT HERE TO JUDGE. One person's sin is no better or worse than the next person's sin. We invite everyone to be a part of what we're doing and to grow closer to Jesus.
"Great moves of God are usually preceded by simple acts of obedience."
